In an effort to bounce back from their previous loss against the Mumbai Indians, SRH may opt to reintroduce the talented young fast bowler into their lineup.

On April 21, the M.A. Chidambaram stadium in Chennai will host the match between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Led by Aiden Markram, SRH will aim to return to their winning form following their recent loss to the Mumbai Indians.
After suffering two consecutive defeats to Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the opening matches, SRH made a strong comeback with wins against PBKS and KKR. However, they faced a 14-run loss in their last game against MI after being all out for 178 while chasing a target of 193. With two wins and three losses in five games so far, Sunrisers Hyderabad currently stands second from the bottom on the table. In order to secure a place in the playoffs at the end of the season, the team needs to work on improving their overall performance.
In their victory against KKR, the SRH batting lineup shone bright, amassing almost 230 runs thanks to Harry Brook’s century, and contributions from Aiden Markram, Heinrich Klaasen, and Abhishek Sharma. While there have been glimpses of brilliance from the SRH batters this season, none of them have been able to deliver consistent performances. So far, Brook has scored 138 runs, Rahul Tripathi has scored 124 runs, and Markram has scored 109 runs.
Mayank Agarwal has scored 113 runs so far, but his strike rate has been low at 108. In the power-play, it’s crucial to score quickly at the start of the innings. Therefore, Tripathi may be better suited to open with Brook and take advantage of the fielding restrictions, while Agarwal could contribute in the middle-order. Head coach Brian Lara has already made some changes to the batting lineup after the two initial losses, and he would likely not hesitate to make further adjustments if he believes they would benefit the team.
Washington Sundar has had a disappointing start to the season, as he hasn’t been able to contribute with the bat and is yet to take a wicket. Despite trying him in different roles, SRH has not seen much success from him. Furthermore, the SRH bowlers have conceded a significant number of runs in some games this season.
